Okay, here am I to take my rant. Earlier on as I was walking toward our home from school (I got home pretty late because we have to sort things out). Well, I came across Christmas Carolers. Yep! They're caroling a house, singing in loud, off-tune and obnoxious voices.
I sped my pace, but the voices just got louder, probably waking up the resting owner of the house as they refuse to leave.
What has got me thinking is their actions. Is this the spirit of Christmas? Which I doubt because it is still November and I have no idea why this doom song groups are starting too early. Now the real question is, how are we going to deal with this? Why this attitude? Is Christmas really a means of happiness and forgiveness? Or a simple way to get money, and evoke feelings of sympathy?
I am not a strong believer, nor am I a true follower of Christianity (born Catholic but turned atheist), so I don't understand how the tradition "Christmas" became so popular. But I do know it is there for merry-making, reconciliation, forgiveness and reunions. But truly, I am confused. Such action is so unlike what I have imagined what Christmas really is.
